Stonewood’s Tavern and Grill, our favorite restaurant, is located in the heart of Port Orange FL.
You can’t miss the location off Dunlawton Ave. just west of Nova Rd. The setting is lovely overlooking a small lake in the Countryside Subdivision and parking is easy. We are such frequent flyers not only because of the great food and ambiance, but because of the excellent service.
I must give a shout out to the best waitresses in Port Orange, Mandy, Lauren and Kay.
Each meal is started with their signature sour dough bread which has turned me into a Stonewood breadaholic! The beef is to die for especially the New York Strip which is served with wonderful garlic mashed and another side. The other side I recommend, (that is if you like vegetables) is asparagus. Yes, asparagus, steamed to perfection!
By the way the menu is so varied that it works for those of us who are on a diet.
My intention in writing this was really to go on and on about my favorite Prince Edward Island Mussels in Pernod, sautéed in garlic,corn and crisp bacon, tossed with a creamed clam sauce, accented in Pernod. Are you drooling yet?
In addition, Stonewood’s is a great watering hole with 2 fer’s before 7 pm and Martini Night on Wednesdays. Pamper your palate at Stonewood’s next night out and ask for Chef Mike and tell him Marty and Janis Gagliardi said hi!. He might even share some of his Stonewood secrets.

Chef Mike creates great food and is very pleasant to converse with! My family and I eat at Stonewood Grill&Tavern all the time in Port Orange, FL and I recently had the opportunity to meet Chef Mike! He is very intelligent in the food area (OBVIOUSLY) and took his time to talk with us which meant a lot! You should try their new appetizer he created, Potato Chips with Blue Cheese and Balsamic Reduction! It may not sound good, but it sure does look and taste DELICIOUS! As my little niece Lauren says, “We love STONEY’S”! She’s only three and she knows good food when she tastes it (just like her Aunt Heidi)!
