My daughter-in-law, a medical Doctor, arranged her schedule to "meet" and have a picture taken with Martha, as the rep who called to say I had won, told me would happen. Why some gals close to me didn't even have a seat, the mike didn't work, no one seated in the northern end of the tent even saw Martha as others stood and blocked the view. Martha, whose newest ad for her upcoming newsletter intro states; "she wants an opportunity to communicate with all of you in a more informal, conversational way" sure left a bad taste in my mouth when she ducked out in a rush. How much time would it have taken her to walk around the tables and wave to all and receive the fresh flowers one gal brought for her. Perhaps if she had a platform to stand on, those in the back of the tent could at least have caught a glimpse of her. I feel sorry for the KB Home reps who said they worked for weeks on the event and then never got to see her, let alone meet her. Martha Stewart spent less than 5 minutes with guests who had spent hours in security preparations.
