Say No To Drive Through Mastectomies
March 12th, 2008 Categories: Health and Wellness

A friend of mine from the area has asked me to pass this important information on about Breast Cancer on behalf of all women. Please read carefully and sign the petition and say NO to Drive Through Mastectomies!!
From a nurse:
Ill never forget the look in my patients eyes when I had to tell them they had to go home with the drains, new exercises and no breast. I remember begging the doctors to keep these women in the hospital longer, only to hear that they would, but their hands were tied by the insurance companies. So there I sat with my patient giving them th e instructions they needed to take care of themselves, knowing full well they didnt grasp half of what I was saying, because the glazed, hopeless, frightened look spoke louder than the quiet ˜Thank you they muttered.
A mastectomy is when a womans breast is removed in order to remove cancerous breast cells/tissue. If you know anyone who has had a mastectomy, you may know that there is a lot of discomfort and pain afterward. Insurance companies are trying to make mastectomies an outpatient procedure. Lets give women the chance to recover properly in the hospital for 2 days after surgery.

With a minimum 3% down payment, you could have a sales price of approx. $308,000, with a 3% down payment, and adding 1.5% for Mortgage Insurance. As with any high loan to value product, there will be monthly mortgage ins.
In FLagler County, FHA limits are now ¦$287,500!! You can have a sales price as high as $292,000 with a 3% down payment, plus 1.5% for MIP!! Mortgage insurance guidelines on non-government loans are getting tighter, so FHA is the way to go. Need not be first time home buyers!!
