Port Orange Bicycle Safety “ Keep our children safe!

Wear Your Bicycle Helmet Did you know that their are fines for children 14 and under for failure to wear a bike helmet in Port Orange FL? The fine is $48.50 for children 14 and under and $76.50 for 16 to 14!

It is not required for individuals over 16 but it is highly recommended!

The Port Orange Police Department urges all citizens who ride bikes to observe the rules of the road and to obey traffic laws that apply to motor vehicles.

FYI!! The Port Orange Police Dept. has a limited number of free helmets for children on a need basis.
