I’ve been included in taxations for longer then I care to acknowledge, both on the individual side (all my working life!!) and from a legal standpoint since passing the bar and following up on tax law. I’ve put up a lot of advice and redressed a lot of wrongs, and I must say that what you’ve posted makes utter sense. Please uphold the good work – the more individuals know the better they’ll be outfitted to comprehend with the tax man, and that’s what it’s all about.

Thanks Cyndee for the feedback. SHort sales are being a pain though. Don’t get responses back quickly at all and it seems the banks are raising the prices which is again causing the bidding phenomena!! Buyers don’t like that after the bidding wars we have seen in the past driving prices up!!

Janis – this is really well done – there are so many misunderstandings out there. An attorney recently said that if you didn’t do a short sale and did a foreclosure instead you would then be responsible for that “debt” through a a bank issued deficiency judgement – people in this situation should defintitely give you and Marti a call to be their real estate advocate and consultant.
