A recent post I read on Copyblogger on Nick Cernis take on typos and word butchery, prompted me to confess the torture I endure with the word Real- A -Tor!!! Sound at all familiar? Its like Nu-cu-lar instead of Nu-cle-ar!

According to The Vocabula Review the word realator “ is the Idiots version of realtor. In ignorance, some people add a phonetic sound (real-A-tor) that doesnt exist in the word.

Did I catch your attention? Can someone please tell me where and when the extra A was added to the word Realtor.

These are just a few questions to ask yourself!

Today, I reached the end of my blog training with The Real Estate Tomato, hence the Graduate chiclet that appears on the right sidebar of our site PortOrangeJuice.com.

I have learned so much about blogging and the blogosphere thanks to the greatest blogging educators associated with The Real Estate Tomato – Jim Cronin with a “C”, Molly Tomato, Justin Smith and Jason Benesch!

From the moment I picked up the phone and spoke with Jim, to inquire about Tomato Blogs, whose business name I thought was a little out of the ordinary, I realized I had reached the right company to make my blog dreams come true!

Martha Stewart came to Ormond Beach today to celebrate the opening of Deer Creek at Hunter’s Ridge! Deer Creek by the way, is the only Martha Stewart KB Home community in Florida!! There were 150 guests that won the entry to meet Martha and attend the block party.

We signed in under the KB tent and received a VIP ID card along with a raffle ticket to win prizes such as cookware, books,bacis kitchen supplies and MS scrapbooking kit. Participants were chosen by raffle to participate in  a sand castle contest too!!

For security purposes, all winners met at KBHome on International Speedway Blvd.in Daytona Beach. From there we were taken via Disney Line buses to the event. Big Kudos to Heather, Martha Stewart’s Event Planner!

Debra Rodriguez, our KB representative, clued us in on the schedule before arriving. The intinerary included crafts, sand castle contest, drawings, lunch, desserts, and an opportunity to meet Martha Stewart!

Martha showed up after lunch and spoke briefly to kick off the KBHome Deer Creek community. She looked marvelous and graciously received a proclamation and a key to the city. She was whisked away in a black Escalade shortly thereafter!

I thought I would post about the new fitness center I joined. 4 Ever Fitness is located in Port Orange near Herbert Street and Clyde Morris Blvd. Ann Nashed-Stephenson signed me up and took me on a tour.

4 Ever fitness features new, state-of-the-art cardiovascular exercise and entertainment equipment. All equipment features heart rate monitors so you can track your target heart rate!

They endorse a 44-minute total-body exercise routine. The great thing about it is that you can enjoy a non intimidating workout. A friendly fitness staff person services the circuit equipment for you. They set your weights as soon as you walk in and you can jump on the circuit and your good to go. 

Saturday was my official first workout with the assistance of Dan on the circuit training equipment. By the way, Dan is very knowledgeable and patient. I started on the treadmill with a brisk walk at 4.0 speed.. I asked my sister why I don’t sweat!!! She can’t understand why I don’t sweat while she sweats profusely and smells like a caramel Yankee candle? But I got my heart rate up to 150 a bit higher than my target heart rate.

Next visit, I invited my sister, Donna, as my guest, so she is hung out with Dan who familiarized her on the cool circuit training equipment for her complimentary visit !
